Wildpark-MV Güstrow

Wildpark-MV Güstrow

Spacious, walk-through outdoor enclosures and aviaries let you experience nature up close any time of year and are perfect for family outings. Observe bears, wolves, fallow deer, and wild boars in their natural habitats, as well as various species of owls, storks, cranes, horses, sheep, donkeys, raccoons, ducks, pheasants, and many other animals. The twelve-meter-long Aqua Tunnel takes you on a dive into local waters. In water over three meters deep, you’ll experience the following beneath the surface: pike, perch, and trout on the hunt; carp foraging for food; and roach, rudd, or crucian carp swimming freely in the open water.

A 30-meter-long aquarium wall offers a magnificent view of the underwater world. At the visitor center, the topic of water is introduced in a playful way—not just for the little ones. A large pack of wolves calls the wildlife park home. In a two-hectare wildlife enclosure, the wolves live in their natural habitat, complete with a stream and a forest pond.

You can walk around the wolf enclosure or cross it via an elevated path, observing the wolves as they eat, play, or engage in dominance struggles. There’s plenty to keep the kids entertained, with various playgrounds, petting zoos, and many interactive trails where they can discover, smell, and touch all sorts of interesting things.
