Inselsee Güstrow

Inselsee, located south of the city of Güstrow, gets its name from Schöninsel, an island that divides the lake in the middle into the relatively shallow Güstrow section to the north and the deep Gutow section to the south. The swimming area, with its large beach and playground, is located on the eastern side of the Inselsee between the Kurhaus and the Barlach Atelierhaus. Here, visitors can splash around and swim; during the season, the beach is usually staffed by a lifeguard, and you can rent a rowboat or pedal boat to explore the lake. A snack bar offers snacks and drinks.
