Rostock River Bath

The Rostock River Bath, built in 1923 on Mühlendamm, is the Hanseatic city’s only outdoor swimming pool. While the temperatures in the Baltic Sea are still a bit too cold for swimming, the water in the Warnow River is already nicely warmed up on sunny days—a major advantage of the river pool over seawater.

The Rostock River Pool looks forward to your visit from May through October! Our nature-oriented pool is Rostock’s only outdoor pool—and just five minutes from downtown. 3,500 m² of water and attractions such as a diving tower, the “Iceberg,” a water slide, a mud playground, a volleyball court, and much more await you.

The river pool is staffed by a lifeguard. There’s a swimming dock, a shallow non-swimmer pool, a deep swimmer’s pool, a parent-child area with a playground, and a snack bar serving snacks and drinks.

You can enjoy wonderful sunbathing on the spacious lawn.
